Learon Inbar Kingsman
Learon Inbar Kingsman works to foster connection and understanding between diverse perspectives through language and visual media. She has created art for the Reno Punk Flea Market, Melting Pot World Emporium, and many lovely people who commission portraits. Her current favorite modalities are ink drawing, printmaking, and poetry - often shared with the world through her social media presence @tiedyegadfly. In an age where more and more of the human experience is lived online, Learon finds inspiration in playing with traditional media for a virtual audience.
Learon received her BA from UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, with a focus in costume design. Since then, she’s practiced a wide breadth of art forms as an independent artist - including photography, nail art, mural painting, and face painting. Learon draws inspiration from fantasy themes, archetypes, Near Eastern motifs, and mythological symbolism to convey timeless ideas, philosophies, and emotions that bring meaning and connection in our postmodern world. Her work is best defined by its dynamic linework, minute details, and natural fluidity, often featuring themes of divine feminine energy and expressive flora and fauna. More recently, Learon has been exploring ways to use art to spread moving political and philosophical messages. In pursuit of greater mastery in the art of helping, Learon received a certificate in Peer Support for Youth from Loyola Marymount University.
When she’s not being a mom or an artist, Learon works on improving her Hebrew and learning Arabic. She resides in Southern California near the beach with her family.
